Born in Edinburgh, Scotland, Chris's love for drumming started at school and at the age of 16, was "actively encouraged" by his parents to try out for his first gigging band. Having this early introduction to performing live meant that the transition to the more vibrant student scene was an easy one and during his time at Uni, Chris was fortunate to be part of a few outfits supporting national touring bands as they came through Scotland.

With Uni behind him, Chris founded "V9" with fellow ex-bandmates and proceeded to win the nationally acclaimed "Nordoff Robbins Tartan Cleff" award. This enabled the band to work with top producer Kenny McDonald as well as opening the door to audiences and venues across the UK.

After moving to the U.S in 2003, Chris moved between Seattle and Los Angeles and during that time, his session work provided an opportunity to play some of the more famous venues in Hollywood, Venice Beach and Santa Monica.

Fast forward to today and with music sitting firmly in the "hobby" category, Chris is fortunate enough to be part of "Blackstone Daze" who, over the past year, have been busy recording their first album and backing that up with shows in Seattle and surrounding areas.

And yes, Being right handed but playing leftie does add to the onslaught of "drummer" jokes....Always a favourite with the sound guy.
